Laboratory tests
The analysis of specific laboratory tests of blood samples is an important criterion when choosing the method of scalp treatment and qualification for it. In our clinic, it is recommended that all patients have tests performed and bring the results with them when reporting for the consultation. Tests can also be performed in a laboratory near the clinic.
Recommended blood tests
The most frequently recommended tests to help diagnose the causes of baldness include
- blood count
- iron and ferritin
- calcium
- vitamin D3
- glucose
- triglycerides, total cholesterol, HDL and LDL
- hormones: TSH, FT4, prolactin, progesterone, DHEA-S, estradiol, testosterone
- ANA (anti-nuclear antibodies).
In individual cases, the doctor may recommend additional tests.
Blood can be drawn on site, with the samples then sent for laboratory testing.
