Hair loss

Androgenic alopecia

Androgenic alopecia is the most frequent cause of hair loss in men (around 70-80%), which is connected with the sensitivity of hair follicles to androgens, therefore, it has a hormonal and genetic background. The first symptoms usually appear at the age of around 20–30 — hairline recession in men usually occurs at the temples and on the top of the head. Left uncured, it may lead to complete baldness; therefore, it is worth seeing a doctor as soon as you notice the first alarming symptoms.

Alopecia in women

More and more women are suffering from thinning hair or hair loss. This is a serious problem for many, not only of an aesthetic nature but also psychologically. This can reduce the sense of attractiveness and self-confidence, negatively affect social life and general well-being, and may promote the development of depression. Fortunately, the condition can be remedied in most cases.

Hair life cycle

Human hair lives 5-6 years on average, and its life cycle includes 3 phases: anagen, catagen, and telogen. There are about 100,000 hairs on the head, of which we lose about 100 a day in the natural process. Most people don’t even notice this every day. The problem begins when the amount of hair loss increases worryingly and is observed when combing or washing.
